2. What Rumemo is
Rumemo turns your study material (e.g. lecture notes, slides, notes, photos of book pages) or a topic into flashcards and plans when to review each card. You can also write cards yourself and bring them over from other apps.
AI-generated cards may contain mistakes. Cards from your material show the passage they come from – check there if in doubt. Cards about a topic are marked "From AI knowledge – no source"; there is no source for them. Rumemo does not replace teaching and does not guarantee any exam result. You can edit or delete any card, or report it with "Card is wrong".
3. Age
You may use Rumemo from the age of 16, or from the higher age at which you may consent to the processing of your data yourself in your country.
4. Your material
- Your material and your cards belong to you. We receive no rights to them.
- Only use material you are allowed to use – for example your own notes or course material for your own learning. You are responsible for the content of your material.
- The cards are meant for your own learning. If you export or share cards, respect the rights to the original material.
- Don't send unlawful content, and don't send material containing sensitive information about other people unless you are entitled to do so.
5. Free and Pro
- Always free: learning, writing your own cards, bringing cards over (Anki, Quizlet, spreadsheets) and exporting them, reminders.
- Free pages: Once, you can have a certain number of pages turned into cards by the AI for free. The app shows how many. Free pages do not refill. A topic counts as one page. If you have the same page of the same deck processed again, it isn't counted twice.
- Pro is available as a yearly or monthly subscription. With it, the AI makes cards from material of any length. So that the service runs reliably for everyone, the subscription covers up to 300 pages a day and 1,000 pages per calendar month.
- The yearly subscription comes with a free trial week if the App Store offers it to you (usually once per Apple Account). Before you buy, the app shows whether it applies to you and when the first charge will be. Two days before the trial ends we remind you, if you allow notifications. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the yearly subscription begins.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for their term unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can cancel and manage them in your Apple Account settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions) or in the app under "Manage subscription".
- Just this document is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It applies to exactly one deck made from material with up to 50 pages. It cannot be transferred to another deck, and unused pages expire. If you delete the deck, the purchase ends.
- The App Store shows prices before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Refunds are requested from Apple.
- What is free today will not be moved into Pro later.
6. Availability
We do our best to keep the AI running reliably but cannot guarantee that it is available at all times – for example during maintenance, outages at the AI provider or high demand. Pages that weren't processed don't count; the app continues by itself later. In case of automated or abusive use (for example mass requests or attempts to get around the free-page limit), we may restrict use.
7. Rights of use
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app. The app's design, texts and images may not be published or resold.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Back up important cards via iCloud or export.
9. Apple
Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.
10. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected. We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
